In a shocking article in the Guardian, Hannah Devlin, the Guardian's science correspondent, states that answer to life, the universe and everything might be 73! Or 67! Not 42!

 Gaia's sky in colour – equirectangular projection

She is talking about a new estimate of the Hubble constant; the rate at which the universe is expanding. It seems that it is could be 9% higher than previous estimates, and the science community cannt explain why (so far). These are results from ESA's Gaia mission, a mission that is conducting a detailed 3-dimensional survey of the Milky Way. Read the whole story.
